The Manuscripts Unit was established approximately in 1390 AH, and contains a group of manuscripts and documents, some of which acquire their rarity, whether from the scientific content, the technical condition, the historical aspect, or all of them.

Acquisition of manuscripts and documents by purchase or gift.
Indexing and classification of manuscripts and documents.
Digitally photograph manuscripts.
Restoration, treatment and sterilization of manuscripts.
Preservation of manuscripts.
Making manuscripts available to researchers and photographing them.
